This is rumored to be the very first release of King's Quest verison 1.0. In 1983 Sierra was approached by IBM to develop a game that would show off the capabilities of its new personal computer: the IBM PC jr. This release comes in a hard plastic case, typical of all IBM's game releases during this time. It is interesting because the manual actually refers to Graham as Grahame. One would almost think this was infact created by IBM except for the small "By Sierra On-Line" on the first page of the manual. Sierra is not mentioned anywhere else (that I can find).
